About Christain

Hey guys, I’m Christain Jones. I offer creative imagery that focuses on videography and photography located in and around Seattle WA. I specialize specifically on weddings. I love shooting weddings because of the cinematic quality to the film making and photography process.

When it comes to weddings. We know that photography is a must. However, the number one regret when you ask a couples after they’ve gotten married, what they wish they had, and often it’s a videographer. They wish they had a video of their special day.

You Only Get Married Once!

Videography and photography isn’t cheap, but you will not regret it if you get both of them. I promise you.

Let’s Make Sure We Click!

Something really important I need to bring up. I don’t allow brides to book my services on the spot without a consultation. Even if you love our work, it’s vital that you click with your wedding photographer on a personal level. I want you to get a feel for our vibe just in case we’re not meshing well. And that’s so important because we’re going to be with you every single second of the way. We’re going to be with you pretty much from the day you book your photography all the way to the vows. We’ll be with you for about 1000 hours on your wedding day. Every little moment, only about 10 feet away.

We need to be able to click with each other. If you’re clicking with your photographer and they are somebody that you really, really mesh with and you really enjoy being around them, your wedding day will go just that much smoother. It’s about trust. If you click with me you’re more likely to trust me. There are so many things that need to go right on that day. Every little bit counts.

I have passion for weddings and I have passion for your wedding. This is your wedding day after all. It’s important that my clients know, weddings are not just an afterthought for me. How To Hire A Wedding Photographer

1. Choose The Style And Budget

Wedding photography isn’t cheap, and it shouldn’t be. This is a once in a lifetime opportunity. Set your budget early. A big mistake I see couples often make is when they don’t consider videography in their budget until last minute. Once you’ve waited that long, you’re going to have slim pickings when it comes to finding the videographer that fits your style, your tone, what you want for your wedding. It’s important to set aside about 10% of your overall budget to photograph or record the wedding. It’s also just as important to know your style. There are many styles of photography. When choosing your photographer, pick one that is skilled and accustomed to the style of photography you want. You’ll get much better results that way than if you request a photographer practice a style they aren’t used to. It’s a great idea to actually have some references that you can present to them to give a better idea of what you’re looking for. A great way to do this would be to look on Pinterest or social media sites. Look at your friends’ weddings. That way you can present it to the photographer and they have a great idea of of the style and tone that’s best for your wedding.

2. Get An In Person Consultation

I really recommend that you meet in person with your photographer before you decide to hire them. You want to get a feel for their vibe and attitude to make sure it meshes with yours. This is also an opportunity to look over their portfolio more closely and make sure it matches the style of the photos you want for your wedding day. You have to meet with the creative that you’re planning on working with, whether it be Skype or FaceTime, grabbing some coffee or just a lunch date. You’re going to have to get on the same page with them and meet them and see if you vibe. Get your search narrowed down to two to three different creatives and make sure they are available on your wedding date.

3. Talk About The Details

make sure you ask your photographer if there are any added charges when it comes to post production techniques, style and the time of year of your wedding. When it comes to time, make sure you talk to your photographer about how much coverage you want, whether it’s pre-wedding, religious ceremony and the celebration. Most photographers are pretty flexible on the hours, but make sure you ask them how much time they anticipate on the editing phase. How long are you and your partner willing to wait in order to receive the photos? Well, most photographers take about eight to 12 weeks before sending them out. But keep in mind that it may take longer if you hired a highly sought photographer. Also, you may want to ask if he or she can make you guys a photo book and if he can give you paper copies.
