Alene Gamel
Alene Gamel was trained in Los Angeles and has many years of experience in the wedding planning industry, both in California and the Southeast. She has assisted with planning and directing weddings both nationally, and internationally.
Alene has a very diverse background, being raised in Los Angeles to be an artist and an entertainer. At the age of 18 Alene became an assistant to a local wedding planner, but started her career as a photographer and travel agent. Eventually, travel gave her exposure to corporate events, with that leading to full time wedding planning
Today, Alene is a Master Bridal Consultant ™ and the creative force behind I Do, I Do! Wedding Planning and Consulting ®, based in Birmingham, Alabama. She writes a weekly column Weddings911, and is also a staff consultant to Southern Bride Magazine. She is a “retired” mom of three grown daughters, active speaker and teacher.

Kelley Hendricks
Kelley Hendricks is a Birmingham native, and has been working with Alene at I Do, I Do! for 5 years. Kelley has always loved to entertain and excels in activities that require her to think outside the box. She received her Bachelor’s from the University of South Alabama where she studied Advertising, Psychology, and Business.
After moving to Birmingham, Kelley searched for wedding planners and coordinators in the area that were not only successful, but also lived up to her high standards of excellence. When she found Alene, and studied her work, she couldn’t help but contact her. Alene took Kelley under her wing and today she is a wedding director and event manager for I Do, I Do!
Ashley Stork
Ashley Stork, is a former I Do I Do Bride! Ashley has lived in Alabama for 8 years and is a graduate of the University of Alabama. After a short career in social work, Ashley and her now husband, Lee, moved to Birmingham from Tuscaloosa. Lee and Ashley both loved their experience with I Do I Do and Ashley fell in love with the wedding planning process. Alene and Ashley kept in touch over the years and now the timing was right for Ashley to come on as Alene’s assistant with I Do I Do.
In addition to working with Alene, Ashley has her own jewelry styling business. She enjoys cooking, reading, her dogs, spending time with family and friends and of course Alabama football. She looks forward to working with I Do I Do brides and helping create their dream weddings!
Heather Phelps
Heather Phelps is the newest intern with I Do, I Do! She joined the I Do, I Do! team after becoming a member of the Association of Bridal Consultants and completing the Penn Foster certification course. This course involved reading fourteen books on weddings, business, and marketing, and passing an exam following the completion of each book.
Heather is married to Brandon Phelps. She is a Southern Belle born and raised in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. When she planned her own wedding she fell in love with weddings. Heather loves helping others and doing anything creative.
